Africa 2015
Hi everyone,
It is an exciting day today as Michael and I head off to lead a group of 12 intrepid adventurers and explorers on our inaugural Trekabout African Photography Safari. Internet will be almost non-existent in the remote locations that we are visiting so you won't hear much from me over the next couple of weeks. Rest assured there will a full report on my return.
In the meantime we now have Africa 2015 up on the Trekabout website with full pricing and bookings available. Click here for full details -> Africa 2015

Day 3

Photography genres covered today will include landscape and macro.
Before breakfast you can join us down on the beach for a sunrise shoot. This is a great opportunity for dingos too as they will often be scavenging along the water line at dawn.
After breakfast we visit Lake McKenzie and Lake Birrabeen with it's incredibly clear waters. There will be time for a swim if you wish or chill out and enjoy the landscape.
There will be bird photography opportunities near the lake with many honeyeaters and other small bird species.
We'll have lunch at Lake Birrabeen before proceeding down towards Dilli Village through coastal heathland and swamp lands (more bird opportunities) and then back up the beach to Eurong Resort for a free afternoon.
After dinner we will upload your images for a critique and re-touch session.

Day 4

Today we head into Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek with amazing rare giant King Ferns and world heritage Satinay Forest.
We'll look at macro techniques in the tropical rainforest at Central Station. With the recent rains there is a good possibility of unusual fungi to be found. Before heading back down the beach we will visit also Pile Valley.
This will be a final opportunity to photograph the odd dingo or shore bird so keep you telephoto lens handy as we run down the beach to catch the barge.
